Carbon Based

Recycled Clock

This clock was made as an experiment to test both the use of recycled materials, and their recyclability.

Consisting of found wood veneer, some cardboard, some wheatpaste glue, and aluminum (beer-can) shingles. Oh, and a repurposed clock brain. The whole project came together rather nicely, but this was just the start.

Impact:

The best part is that once it was done (and after a feek weeks above the fire place), it was sent back to the fiery pits from whence it came, and separated into its various bits and peices. With a bit of saoking in water (sans clock brain), everything that was held by wheat paste loosed up real nice, and came right back apart. Shingles in the recycle bin (where they were "found"), cardboard and soggy-veneer into the recycle bin (also where they were "found"), while the clock-brain back went into the part bin for future use.
